Terms and Conditions for Customers

  1. ABOUT US
    1. We are an enthusiast group of surfers and lover of the nature who want to share the happiness of being in the water with other people.  Below you can find all necessary information concerning Our company and website www.surflifetenerife.com including all information about booking your activity through system.
    2. Our company´s name is Surf Life Tenerife,company ID No.: Y5065312J, with registered office in Av. Las Américas 2, Parque Santiago 3, shop number 82, 38660 Playa de Las Américas, Arona.
    3. You, as a visitor, can directly find our activities in Our Website and make bookings. By using the Website booking form you accept these terms and conditions (“Terms”) and agree to be bound by them
  1. SURF LESSONS
    1. WHEN: In order to guarantee the safety of our students during our activities, We always decide the time of the lesson depending on the tide level and on the sea conditions. The lesson might take place in the morning or in the afternoon between 9:00 to 16.00 in winter time (from November to May) and between 9:00 and 18:00 in summer time (from June to October)
    2. WHERE: The lesson usually takes place at the beach next to Playa El Camisón, in Playa de Las Américas, Arona. In case in which our team of instructors will not consider the conditions adequate to the lesson, we will provide a transfer service to other spots in the south with all the equipment needed to provide the lesson.
    3. BOOKING: You can book your surf lesson through the Website booking form and request a day for your experience by paying the 50% as a deposit. Payments can be done trough the platform STRIPE  with credit or debit card or trough bank transfers. When the booking will be complete We will get back to you and communicate the time of the meeting at the shop in Playa Las Américas or the pickup time from your accommodation – in case you need it.
      1. NO AVAILABILITY CASE: In case we will not have availability for the day you requested we will:
        1. Try to find another day in which you can join our lesson
        2. In case in which it will not be possible to find another day, We will send you back a refund of what you paid.
      2. CANCELLATION POLICY: The deposit is refundable for cancellations before 72 hours the time of the activity.
    4. TRANSFER: We offer transfers from your accommodation to the school in case in which you are staying in Costa Adeje, specifically between Callao Salvaje and Los Cristianos. In case in which you need a transfer outside of this zone, we organise for an extra fee.
      1. Also in case in which you book a private lesson, the transfer is always shared with other participants to the activity.
    5. LESSONS: Every lesson with Surf Life Tenerife lasts 2 hours and it is organised in:
      1. Warming up;
      2. Training at the beach;
      3. Practice in the water;
      4. Stretching ;

      Every group lessons has a maximum of 6 students. Starting from 7 students, more instructors will accompany the group. When the surf lesson is for beginners, the instructor always gets into the water without the board in order to provide physical help to the students (pushing them and helping to avoid the waves when coming back to the line up – starting point). For intermediates, the surf instructor gets into the water with the board and follow the students to give specific training.

      All the equipment is included in the price of the lesson (surfboard, wetsuit, surf shoes, leash).

  1. KAYAKING WITH DOLPHINS
    1. WHEN: In order to guarantee the safety of our students during the tour, the activity will always start at 10.00, considering the morning the least windy time of the day.
    2. WHERE: The tour starts at the Sail School of the beach of Los Cristianos, Arona.
    3. BOOKING: You can book your kayaking tour through the Website booking form and request a day for your experience by paying the 50% as a deposit. Payments can be done trough the platform STRIPE  with credit or debit card or trough bank transfers. When the booking will be complete We will get back to you and communicate the time of the meeting at Sail School in Playa de Los Cristianos or the pickup time from your accommodation – in case you need it.

    5. TOUR: Every kayaking tour with Surf Life Tenerife lasts 2 hours and it is organised in groups of maximum 10 people. No previous kayaking experience is needed. The tour will starts with a briefing and instructions on how to paddle on the kayak.

      6. All the equipment is included in the price (kayak, paddle, life vest).

  1. PARAGLIDING
    1. WHEN: The paragliding flight with Lorenzo and his team can take place at 3 different time during the day: 10.00, 13.00 and 16.00.
    2. WHERE: The activity will start with the pick up directly at the accommodation. Depending on the flight, you will be driven at different heights included between 800 and 1.000 meters in the zone of Taucho. The special flight from Teide includes the transfer to the zone of the observatory of Izaña.
    3. BOOKING: You can book your paragliding flight through the Website booking form and request a day for your experience by paying a deposit depending on the flight you want to book. Payments can be done trough the platform STRIPE  with credit or debit card or trough bank transfers. When the booking will be complete We will get back to you and communicate the time of the pickup from your accommodation or at the meeting point at Centro Comercial Tu Trébol, in La Caleta, Adeje.
      1. NO AVAILABILITY CASE: In case we will not have availability for the day you requested we will:
        1. Try to find another day in which you can join our lesson
        2. In case in which it will not be possible to find another day, We will send you back a refund of what you paid.
      2. CANCELLATION POLICY: The deposit is refundable for cancellations before 72 hours the time of the activity.
    4. TRANSFER: We offer transfers from your accommodation to the take off zone in case in which you are staying in Costa Adeje, specifically between Callao Salvaje and Los Cristianos. In case in which you need a transfer outside of this zone, we organise for an extra fee.
    5. FLIGHTS: Three different flight duration are available
      1. SHORT FLIGHT:
        1. Take off 800 meters
        2. Minimum duration of 15 minutes
        3. Maximum duration of 20 minutes
      2. MEDIUM FLIGHT – “TEACHING”:
        1. Take off 1000 meters
        2. Minimum duration of 25 minutes
        3. Maximum duration of 40 minutes
        4. Possibility of experiencing a bit of “driving” under the supervision of the pilot
      3. TEIDE FLIGHT:
        1. Take off 2200 meters (zone of Izaña, Teide)
        2. Minimum duration of 40 minutes
        3. Maximum duration of 60 minutes
        4. Total duration of the activity: 5 hours, including stops in Teide and landing in Puerto de La Cruz, in the north of the Island
        5. Minimum required of persons: 2
